As the seasons change and gatherings become more frequent, I find myself craving simple yet impressive baked recipes that come together quickly but still feel extra. These Red Velvet Cookies are exactly that.
Ingredients:
· 1/2
cup brown sugar
· 1/2
cup white sugar
· 1
cup butter
· 1
egg
· 1tsp
vanilla extract
· 2
cup flour
· 1tsp
baking powder
· 1tsp
baking soda
· 2
tbsp cocoa powder
· 1tsp
red food color powder
· 1/2
tsp salt
·
White chocolate
chips (optional but recommended)
Procedure:
1. In a mixing bowl, beat together the brown sugar, white sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
2. Add the egg and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, red food color powder, and salt.
4. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
5. Gently fold in white chocolate chips for that classic red velvet touch.
6. Roll the dough into small balls and arrange them on a lined baking tray, leaving space between each one.
7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 20–25 minutes, depending on your oven.
8.
Allow
the cookies to cool on a cooling rack before serving.
Enjoy.
