Finding the will and
strength to blog.
It can be challenging
nowadays, especially when you’re not making money from it and have other things
going on in life. I have a like a million things I am doing, Blog, running a
charity foundation, family etc. I truly love blogging, it’s one of my favorite
hobbies but, sometimes I feel lazy or tired and don’t feel like creating
content. What keeps me going is my passion for it and the joy I get from
sharing my recipes with you all.
What about you? What
keeps you motivated, whether it’s blogging, work, or something else? Let me
know in the comments!

Thanks, Jennifer.
DeleteI totally get it. My advice would be to don't feel pressured to produce. Take breaks and when your feel the urge then do it. Readers are very understanding. Enjoy your summer!

DeleteI feel this one in my bones, Annie! It gets really hard at times. I love my blog and truly want to see it grow and make more money, and also life happens and I get a little off the beaten path at times. I do have a genuine love for it though and like you said, that's truly what keeps you going and you just do the very best you can. :) I always love reading your blog and seeing the recipes you come up with!!

Thank you so much for this, it really means a lot! I totally get what you’re saying. it’s such a mix of passion and persistence, especially when life throws in its own twists. I know you genuinely care about your blog, and that love definitely shines through it. i see it in the posts you make. Keep showing up as you are, it’s inspiring! And thank you for your kind words, it truly encourages me to keep creating. ❤️
DeleteI completely get it Annie, it can be hard to keep on top of blogging as so much needs to go into it. Like you, my passion for it keeps me going! x
ReplyDeleteLucy Mary
Absolutely! there’s so much that goes on behind the scenes, and it can definitely feel overwhelming at times! But yes, that shared passion really does make all the difference.
DeleteI totally understand how you feel. This is my situation with work and family. I wake up early to prepare my son for school and make lunch for my son and husband. Sometimes I just want to lay in bed all day and not do anything or go to work but the joy my son has when he sees me especially when he's eating keeps me going. And my husband always complimenting the lunch I make for him to take to work keeps my happy. So I guess I keep on going for my family. Love your recipes and enjoy making them for my family. Please keep it up. 😍😘
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing this, it really touched me. I completely relate to those days when it’s hard to keep going, but it’s amazing how those little moments of joy from our loved ones give us strength. Your family is lucky to have you, and it sounds like you pour so much love into what you do for them. I’m so glad my recipes can be a small part of that! Thank you for your kind words, they truly mean a lot. 🥰💛
DeleteI can completely related! It's hard to juggle all the things! I keep blogging because it's a creative outlet for me and helps me destress. Love your blog and recipes!
ReplyDeleteJill - Doused in Pink
It really is a lot to juggle, and having a creative outlet like blogging makes such a difference. I'm so glad it brings you joy! Thank you so much for the kind words, it means a lot.
DeleteI totally relate, blogging now is not how it used to be when we started. I took a break for two years. However, I came back because there's this solitude I get in blogging. It is like a way of distressing. My advice is pick days for blogging, don't juggle everything at once, otherwise you'd feel burnt out. Hoping to see more great recipes from you.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this, it really resonated with me. Blogging has definitely changed, and I completely understand the need for a break. I love how you described the solitude it brings; I feel that too. Your advice is so wise, setting boundaries and not trying to do it all at once is something I’m learning to embrace. I’m so glad you’re back to blogging, and I really appreciate your support. More recipes coming soon! 💛
DeleteHello, Annie. First, thanks for visiting me at Marmelade Gypsy -- your visit brought me here. I've never had that thought about blogging but I think I can understand where you're coming from. It was a lot more challenging to blog when I worked. But there may be other reasons for that too. I do not post daily and have trouble keeping up with those who do. I usually end up with two to three posts a week depending on what I want to write about. Also, my blog is a little of everything -- travel, family, art, home life (cooking, decor, etc), books, real life. I never run out of content. Most of all, I've loved the friendships that have been built through blogging, many of whom I've met in person. They are genuine and that is the best. That may keep me most motivated -- wondering what's up with them, sharing what's up with me. I'm just discovering you, so I hope to stick around!
ReplyDeleteHello! Thank you so much for your lovely message. I’m so glad my visit led me to your beautiful blog too. I can definitely relate to what you said, balancing blogging with work or daily life can be tricky at times. I love that you’ve found a rhythm with your posts and that your blog covers such a wonderful mix of things; it makes it so personal and engaging. I agree with you, the friendships and connections we build here are truly special, and they make the blogging journey so much more meaningful. I’m really happy we’ve connected, and I look forward to visiting your space more often and sharing in your posts.
DeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, Annie. You have some beautiful food photos here! I use to blog about food, but these days it's more about books, jigsaws puzzles, and photos I've shared on Instagram. (along with the occasional music post). I eat a plant based diet now (for the past 10 years), so I'll have to see if anything here fits that bill.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I really enjoyed visiting your blog too. Books, puzzles, and photography sound like such a fun mix, it must make for very cozy and creative posts. A plant based diet is wonderful, and I’ll definitely keep that in mind as I share recipes. I’m sure you’ll find a few that can be adapted, and I’d love to know your thoughts if you try any. I’ll be looking forward to more of your posts as well.
DeleteI understand what you mean. i am not a blogger but i love visiting your blog cos you have easy recipe. It is normal to feel overwhelmed sometime but it's the little things that keeps me going. I love your recipes please keep it going. One day at a time. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words. I’m really glad you enjoy my recipes, it means a lot to know they’re helpful and easy to follow. You’re right, taking it one day at a time really does make a difference. Messages like yours are a big motivation to keep going, so thank you for that encouragement 💛
DeleteI blog from habit, it's the motivator for me. For years I did 3 times a week and just recently dropped to two times a week because I am so busy. It's working for now.
ReplyDeleteThat’s such a great habit to have. Two times a week still sounds like a wonderful balance, especially with a busy schedule. It’s inspiring that you’ve kept up with blogging so consistently over the years. I think that kind of routine really helps keep the motivation alive.
