This easy recipe combines the bright, tangy flavour of fresh
lemons with a splash of cranberry juice for its beautiful blush-pink colour. Unlike
store-bought versions, this homemade pink lemonade is made with fresh infused
with the zest, giving every sip a vibrant citrus flavour.
Ingredients:
- 4½
fresh lemons
- Peels
from the lemons
- ½
cup granulated sugar
- 2½
cups boiling water
- ¾
cup cold cranberry juice
- ¾
cup cold water
Procedure:
- Soak
the lemons in hot water for 5mins. Scrub with a vegetable brush under
running water.
- Carefully peel the lemons, avoiding too much
of the white pith, then juice them. Set the juice aside.
- Place
the lemon peels and sugar into a heatproof bowl or jug.
- Pour
the boiling water over the peels and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves
completely.
- Allow
the mixture to cool, then strain out and discard the lemon peels.
- Stir
in the fresh lemon juice, cranberry juice, and cold water.
- Refrigerate
until well chilled.
- Serve
with ice and lemon slices.
Enjoy.
