PINK LEMONADE.

This easy recipe combines the bright, tangy flavour of fresh lemons with a splash of cranberry juice for its beautiful blush-pink colour. Unlike store-bought versions, this homemade pink lemonade is made with fresh infused with the zest, giving every sip a vibrant citrus flavour.

Ingredients:

  • 4½ fresh lemons
  • Peels from the lemons
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2½ cups boiling water
  • ¾ cup cold cranberry juice
  • ¾ cup cold water

Procedure:

  1. Soak the lemons in hot water for 5mins. Scrub with a vegetable brush under running water.
  2.  Carefully peel the lemons, avoiding too much of the white pith, then juice them. Set the juice aside.
  3. Place the lemon peels and sugar into a heatproof bowl or jug.
  4. Pour the boiling water over the peels and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
  5. Allow the mixture to cool, then strain out and discard the lemon peels.
  6. Stir in the fresh lemon juice, cranberry juice, and cold water.
  7. Refrigerate until well chilled.
  8. Serve with ice and lemon slices.

    Enjoy.
